Name of Book:

The Marriage Devotional

Author:

Levi and Jennie Lusko

What drew you to read this book?:

I have been married for 12 years now thought it would be lovely to learn and or unlearn certain habits. I also liked the fact the couple co-authored the book.

What impact did this book have on your life?:

Firstly, I reviewed this book with my hubby. He is not an avid reader, so reviewing with him was awesome. It got us communicating /talking as a couple about things we feel need to change, be intentional about and start doing. Being in the market place and ministry, we can get busy doing but not be intentional with dating each other as a couple. We got to "date" over this book. It also gave us some nuggets to consider when doing relationship counselling or pre-marital counselling. It also made me think of looking at Relationship Coaching for my consulting business.

In a paragraph, what is the main point of this book?:

The book teaches us that there is no perfect marriage but God's heart is for a marriage to be healthy and fruitful. It gives hope that every marriage can work out through God's wisdom and by His strength. This book will give couples tools on how to fight fair, be always present in your marriage, resting, running hard and enhancing/improving intimacy between couples and of course focusing on Jesus Christ.

Who would benefit from reading this book?:

Married and Engaged couples.
