Our Beliefs

God

We believe that has always been, and always will be.

He is all – knowing (omniscient).

He is all powerful (omnipotent).

He is always with us (omnipresent)

He is one God, existing in three person, referred to as the Trinity (Father, Son and Holy Spirit)

Genesis 1: 1, Deuteronomy 6: 4

Jesus

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He died on the cross, taking our sin and punishment, so that we could have new life and a reconciled relationship with God. After being crucified, He rose from the dead after three days and ascended to heaven. He now sits at the right hand of the throne of God. G We believe that Jesus is coming back again to rule and establish His kingdom on earth.

John 1 : 1 – 18 , Colossians 1 : 13 :22

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. After Jesus ascended into heaven, God sent the Holy Spirit to be our comforter, advocate, and counselor. The Holy Spirit equips believers for the work of ministry and life. The person of the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin. The Holy Spirit lives inside of all believers and testifies to the will of God.

Genesis 1 : 2 , Acts 1:8, Ephesians 1:13

Salvation

We believe that salvation is only through Jesus Christ. All of mankind are born sinners and in need of a saviour. We are saved by grace through faith, not by our own good works but through Jesus’ righteousness and shed blood on the cross. Jesus Christ came to rescue us from our sins and offer atonement on our behalf.

Water Baptism

After salvation, all believers should follow through in obedience to be baptized. Baptism is a symbol of our own death, burial and resurrection with Jesus Christ. We are now a new creation and we live a new life by the power of Jesus Christ.

Matthew 3:16, Romans 6 : 3 – 4, Colossians 2 : 12

Word of God

We believe the Bible is the infallible Word of God. It is without error and never changes. The Bible is trustworthy, true, and we build our entire life upon. As women of God, we treasure the Bible and seek to live out we read and study each day in obedience to our God.

2Timoty 3 : 15 – 17, 2 Peter 1:19 – 21

Local Church

The church is the Body of Christ that is called to live out God’s mission today. It is not a place, but rather the body of believers.

Mathew 28 : 19 – 20 , Colossians 1 : 8, 1 Peter : 1 - 5
