Tell us a bit about yourself:

Firstly I would love to say that the joy of the Lord fills my soul, I find myself really joyful in all seasons and for that I am grateful. I am a child and servant of God. God has been Lord over my life for many years and together we have had a beautiful journey. I am madly in-love with Jesus. I am a wife and mom of two adorable little girls, they really are the light of our home, through their presence we have seen the hand of God. I am in ministry and corporate, and really love the challenge that comes with both. I always say I am a speaker by gifting and a preacher by calling. I believe with all my heart that AFRICA WILL BE SAVED.

Name of Book:

The God of the Way

Author:

Kathie Lee Gifford and Rabbi Jason Sobel

What drew you to read this book?:

The sub heading on the cover of the book , it reads " A journey into the stories, people, and faith that changed the world forever. "

What impact did this book have on you?:

The book had an impeccable impact on my life … I was reminded that God intentionally calls and uses people just as they are for a divine assignment. When the called respond with obedience like Moses, Aaron and David did, the world can and will change. I was also reminded that it is the stories of people in the bible and others thereafter that have encouraged me to walk in the will of God, therefore it is important for us to tell our stories so that others can be encouraged.

In a paragraph, what is the main point of this book?:

The book tells the stories of people we easily recognize in the bible , people who walked with God in and out of season, people who sinned but understood the importance of repentance .These are the stories of people who knew God as a loving Father and also understood that He is King. These are stories of people who were relentless, stubborn and yet served God and changed generations. The book reminds us that God is the God of the how and when. When you don't know the details be reminded that God does, all you need to do is move in obedience. He is the God of His word. When you can't see, trust His heart and the promises of His word and remain still. When you feel abandoned and forgotten ,God knows and cares, all you need to do is trust Him. When you feel overwhelmed and unworthy, God brings freedom . A quote from the book that resonated with me is " SOMETIMES THE MIDDLE OF A STORM IS RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF GOD'S WILL." This book is a reminder that just like Abraham, Sarah , Moses, Joshua and Mary, I too am called to change a generation and impact the world. Like Hagar, Ruth , David and Mary Magdalene, God sees me and His eyes are steadfast upon me. Just like Peter who walked on water , the Samaritan woman and the Prodigal son, God is patiently waiting for me on the other side of doubt and even sin. God is Jehovah Elohim, the creator of everything. This book was a beautiful reminder of the power of God.

Who would benefit from reading this book?:

This book would benefit everyone who seeks to have a deeper understanding of how God over the years has walked side by side with His people, and prepares a way ahead of them. If you like a good story and are inspired by the life experiences and stories of those who have gone ahead of you, you will love this book, and lastly, this book is for world changers , go do the work, God has prepared the way ,God is with you.
