Tell us a bit about yourself:

When I was born my father named me Nandi after the mother of king Shaka of AmaZulu tribe, it is said that the mention of her name would mean death to the person. That’s how important it was. When I got saved as a child, I discovered the privileges in being part of royalty, Jesus’ blood bought me the power to speak things into existence and see victory over my enemies. As a single mom I found that there is great power in the name of Jesus. I see him fight my battles each day. When I tell people that I am royalty its not because of my earthly name but the heavenly father who saw it fit that I be part of his royal house.

What drew you to read this book?:

There are a lot of things that felt like defeat especially after COVID-19 hit, the search for finding things to be joyful for became a bit difficult. So, to have a 50-step guide past the defeats seemed like knowledge one would love to possess.

What impact did this book have on your life?:

After COVID-19 as lot of us are finding a need to go back to basics of finding joy in the little things we have. But it becomes difficult when those this have been watered down by the daily hustle. This booked has helped my meditations on those things in the right direction. One of the chapters talks about how nothing has value apart from Christ referring to the words of Paul in Philippians 3v8-9. The challenge in the end with things to think about for me was how much do I value my time spent in God’s presence and since being save what has changed? For me it was a lot.

In a paragraph, what is the main point of this book?:

The book is a 50 days devotional or even meditation reading on the word of God, exploring topics on God’s grace and peace, the fruits of the spirit as per the book of Galatians. After each chapter/day the reader is given a task to think about certain aspects of the chapter in relation to their own life. The book in my opinion is aimed at engaging the peace of mind, things that you call fulfilling, are they really bringing you Joy?

Who would benefit from reading this book?:

It's a good start for a new Christian who’s in search of Joy in the midst of a storm and or just being reminded of what really matters especially after a loss.
