Updated: Apr 13, 2023

It's a tough time to be a tween. Body image struggles, peer pressure, social media, and confusion about what truth is and why it matters can make growing up harder than ever. How do you stand firm in what you believe? What does it mean to be brave in your faith? What does it look like to love others? Finding answers to the most challenging questions can help tween girls thrive as they grow into brave young women of God.

I Am Brave invites girls ages 8-12 to join the Brave Girls--Hope, Glory, Faith, Gracie, and Honor--as they grow closer to God every day. The latest book in the popular Brave Girls series, I Am Brave includes journaling prompts, devotions, and lots of great questions to help girls learn more about who God is and who they are.

The Brave Girls are ordinary girls who are stronger and more courageous because of God's love and guidance. I Am Brave will help your own young reader speak up for truth, stand up for faith and live out the real meaning of godly bravery.

Tell us a bit about yourself:

I am 9 years old. I love drawing and painting. I am homeschooled and love to do maths.

What is the name of the book?

I am Brave.

What are the names of the characters in the book?

Hope, she likes football like my brother.

Glory, she likes shopping and beautiful things.

Honor, she loves animals. I like horses.

Gracie, she loves singing. I sing too, sometimes.

Faith, she is homeschooled like me. She loves painting too.

Tell us a short story about the book and the characters.

The book is for young girls like me. It talks about being confident and happy because God loves you. Teaching girls about God, the bible and that we are all different. The book is pink and I like pink. I like that I can write and draw on the book.

What did you learn from the book?

God loves me very much. God always tells me the truth about me, I am special. The devil lies and says I am not special but that is not true. God's truth always keeps me, I am a child of God everyday. I am beautiful when I am being nice to someone else and not about how I look.

Will your friends like the book too?

I want all my friends to have the book! It is very nice. There are lots of pages to write on and draw.
