Tell us a bit about yourself:
Wife. Mother of 3. Avid reader. Loves gardening. Crazy about interior decorating. Loves the LORD, loves HIS people.
What drew you to read this book:
One goes through different seasons in life and some seasons are more difficult than others. In some seasons one tends to feel like they walking very far from GOD and that is a very lonely place to be in. The title said to me... You don't have to feel alone in those seasons, I will show you how to experience GOD even in the most difficult times in your life.
What impact did this book have:
It heightened my senses to the presence of GOD in my life. It showed my how to pick up the golden thread of HIS love throughout my life journey. I love people and I love making friends, it was beautiful to see that even in those simple enjoyable times with friends, GOD is at work in us and in those in our lives.
In a paragraph, what is the main point:
It is about being sensitive to the nudging of the HOLY SPIRIT and being obedient trusting that GOD has it all figured out. This book is a powerful illustration of not forgetting who GOD is and what HIS promises are to us. There is a need to see GOD's work in us throughout our lives, through our highs and lows. It is heart warming to see how Darlene can trace the golden thread of GOD's love and presence in her life even when she was fighting a life threatening disease. GOD helped her declutter her heart because HE wanted her to access the freedom HE had in store for her. GOD is always there with us, preparing us, guiding us, loving us and seeing us through. This HE does not do it just for our benefit but so that we can be empowered to impact the lives of those around us according to HIS purpose for us.
Who would benefit from reading:
Everyone doubting GOD's presence in their lives. Everyone who celebrates GOD's amazing love. Everyone who has overcome by GOD's grace. Everyone who loves hearing about how others have overcome and wants to join them in glorifying GOD.
