Book Review: Planted with a Purpose Author T.D. Jakes

PLANTED WITH A PURPOSE will inspire you to keep the faith, even during your most painful moments. Bishop Jakes emphasizes the value of asking important questions, such as "Why would a good Father allow his children to suffer so much pain, injustice, and heartache?" while reminding us that our moments of crushing are part of God's ongoing process to fulfill our destinies in Him.

If you are faithful through suffering, you will be surprised by God's joy, comforted by His peace, and filled with His purpose. If you trust in God and lean on Him during setbacks, He will lead you through.

T.D. Jakes is the #1 New York Times best selling author of more than forty books and is the CEO of TDJ Enterprises.

Name of Book:

Planted with a purpose

What drew you to read this book:

The title of the book drew my attention. The title held so much authority that was so loud, it left me curious and anxious to want to read more about the book and find a deeper meaning about the title.

What impact did this book have:

It broaden the way I view life, re-evaluate how I view challenges in life and that everything happens for a reason. Challenges come and go, some are lessons and some are made to be scars to remind us of everything we survived from trials and tribulations that were placed for us to help us grow. There are stages we go through in life thinking they are placed to break us but they are meant to teach us lessons and remind us that God's timing is perfect.

In a paragraph, what is the main point of the book:

The main point of the book is TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS are not meant to break us, they are planting a seed that will always remind us about the importance of being patient. In "JAMES 5:7-11" it talks about patience, reminding us that God's timing is always perfect. We are meant to go through those trials and tribulations so we can learn from them and also learn from other people's mistakes as well. We shouldn't rush our seeds, we should wait for them to grow to eternity; like a baby takes 9months from fetus to be born. Every seed has its own purpose in life that only God knows. Jesus Christ is the full eternity itself because God gave away his only begotten son to die for us so our sins can be forgiven. Jesus Christ is the seed and vine that God has planted to remind us that we are His children and He will never forsake us no matter how tough the situation is we will always find our way.

Who would benefit from reading:

Everyone who wants to learn more about life and lessons on how to tackle the different challenges. To be able to view life challenges in a different way that may not make sense when seen by the naked eye but needs to be viewed spiritually and understood in a deeper way.
