Women of Reverence would like to thank Ntokozo Mthi for her Book Review.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. In today's society, almost everything assaults our sense of peace--stressful jobs, troubled marriages, and retirement worries. "The Serenity Prayer" offers tranquility in this world of chaos. In this book, Trevor Hudson explores the meaning of this prayer and challenges each of us to discover peace when life seems out of control.
Tell us a bit about yourself:
I am a wife and a mother to two beautiful children. I love traveling, watching movies and cooking and experimenting with recipes. I love Jesus and passionate about learning more about him.
What drew you to read this book:
I was asked to review for the first time. I was drawn to the book by the Title. I tend to fear and worry a lot, so I wanted to explore the idea of living one day at a time and have peace.
What impact did this book have:
It reminded me that I have a Father who has a perfect will for me and is there always to guide me as I take each step. I learned to rely on Him and his will for me, not to try and do everything out of my own strength
In a paragraph, what is the main point:
Is that if I have a relationship with my Father, Know His character, I can truly trust in Him and His perfect love for me. I can pray the prayer of serenity and enjoy His peace and I can totally surrender all aspects of my life to Him knowing that His will for my life is perfect regardless of the season I'm in.
Who would benefit from reading this:
Everyone who battles with fear and worry and wants to experience deeper peace.
