Confidence can be hard to come by these days. People are losing their jobs, their houses, and their life savings at an unprecedented rate. Violence, natural disasters, and moral depravity seem to be skyrocketing. In the midst of all this chaos, we need to know...what on earth should we do now?
In this 11-week small group study (based on the follow-up to the New York Times bestseller What in the world is going on?) Dr David Jeremiah brings a message of hope and confidence from the priceless counsel of the Word of God.
He answers our most urgent questions, including:
How can we weather this storm with a calm heart?
What does it truly mean to wait on the Lord?
What is Jesus saying to our chaotic world today?
How on earth did we get into this mess?
Can we take a broken world and rebuild it into something fruitful?
Living with Confidence in chaotic world shows us that with the power and love of the Almighty God, we can live with confidence in this age of turmoil.
Tell us a bit about yourself:
Reading is my passion and I love a wide variety of genres. I'm also a wife and mother and work for an NPO in between running our home, keeping contact with family spread across the world and knitting and crocheting to relax. There's always someone who needs warm woolies. I have a heart for children, particularly those struggling and like to use my listening skills to help others and point them to Jesus.

What drew you to read this book:
The title drew me in - we are all living with some chaos in our lives - a pandemic, personal budgets under stress, grown children leaving home, a new born baby, loss of a job, or perceived loss of credibility, mobility, youth. There is chaos all around and we definitely want to be able to cope with it and face it all with confidence. Below the title, the words: Certain hope in uncertain times, lured me in to hear more
In a paragraph, what is the main point of this book:
From the very first chapter, I felt hope stirring. My faith began to rise as the author pointed out that God is indeed in control. The author gives 10 pointers or keys for dealing with difficult circumstances or unwanted changes that happen in life. Each key is expanded over a chapter and based solidly in the teachings of Jesus. The reader is encouraged to fix their eyes on Him. He makes a strong case for putting fear aside, to daily live out the 10 biblical truths and to share them broadly. Now more than ever before it's time to embrace your church and community.
Who would benefit from reading this book:
Anyone grappling with a rapid series of changes in their personal life or feeling weighed down by the turmoil of current global circumstances, should read this book.
