Book Review: Born for Significance Author Bill Johnson

Once you have discovered who God made you to be you will never want to be anyone else. Every person on the planet was born for significance, created by God to make a difference in His kingdom. Fulfilling God’s purpose is a lifelong endeavor, but it comes with a cost. God is a perfect Father who looks for chances to pour blessings into the lives of His children. Name of Book:

Born for Significance

Author:

Bill Johnson

What drew you to read this book:

This book was a recommended read but in the past I have enjoyed reading books by the same author (Bill Johnson) and find that they are packed with revelation.

What impact did this book have:

We all want to make a difference and reach the "promised land" where we are walking in all God has destined for us. The temptation is often to fall into striving or running ahead or getting impatient but the preparation is important before the promise. This book reminded me of the "process" before "promotion" and I could relate to it in many ways. It does not stop at purpose and preparation to the promise but also equips you to handle promotion. It is written from a place of intimacy with God and it has revealed to me the faithfulness and thoughtfulness of of God in my life. It was a great reminder of WHERE I am at and where I am on the WAY to.

In a paragraph, what is the main point of the book:

This book takes you from Purpose (that is rooted in Identity and intimacy with God) to the PROCESS of promotion (through honour, loyalty & adversity) and lastly the PROMOTION. It gives you an holistic picture of "Kingdom" values and demolishes any priorities, thinking & treasures that keep you from growing and advancing the Kingdom.

Who would benefit from reading this book:

Anyone and everyone who is longing to live a life that matters and be successful. It will help to adjust perspective and hearts and help you to be VICTORIOUS in EVERY SEASON and ADVANCE. We are called to live a life of significance and that is not for a FUTURE PROMOTED PLACE but for every MOMENT. This book will help you to live INTENTIONALLY in response to an INTENTIONAL ABBA FATHER.
